Sue Jared Jackson Hawks
ca. 1912 - August 17, 2008
Sue Jared Jackson Hawks, 96, of Fort Wayne, died August 17.
She lived most of her life in Indianapolis and Ogden.
Mrs. Hawks worked as an administrative assistant in the comptroller’s office in the finance and accounting center of Fort Benjamin Harrison. She retired in 1975. Mrs. Hawks was a member of Ogden United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and doing work for the church.
Survivors include a son, Earl Edward (wife, Linda) Jackson of Fort Wayne; and two stepdaughters, Shirley Lewis and Sharon Sutton, both of Indianapolis.
Funeral services were August 21 at Main & Davis Funeral Home in New Castle. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Champaign-Urbana, Ill. Visitation was August 20 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Missionary Church in Fort Wayne.
