 Roger Russell Mohr

 June 16, 1944 – Aug. 16, 2008

Roger Russell Mohr, 64, of Knightstown, died August 16 at his home.

He was born June 16, 1944, in Indianapolis, a son of the late Russell Mohr and Helen (King) Mohr.

Mr. Mohr lived in Knightstown for the last 24 years. He graduated from New Palestine High School and attended Purdue University for two years. Mr. Mohr was a Vietnam War veteran who served as an environmental technician at Eli Lilly Company.

Survivors include his mother, Helen Mohr of New Palestine; a son, Jay Mohr of Tell City; two daughters, Leanne Porzycki of Loveland, Colo., and Erin Sollman of Jasper; a sister, Sharon Dawn Cherry of New Palestine; and five grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral services were August 24 at Todd Funeral Home in Knightstown with Rev. Mervin Kilmer officiating. Burial will take place at the family’s convenience. Visitation was August 24 at the funeral home.
