 Dorthy M. Gorman

 Oct. 1, 1929 – July 14, 2008

Dorthy Gorman photo    Dorthy M. (Keck) Gorman, 78, of Knightstown, died July 14 at her home.
   She was born Oct. 1, 1929, in Grant City, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Adams) Keck.
    Mrs. Gorman retired from the Indiana Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Children’s Home in Knightstown after 21 years of service.
    Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Hubbard of Shelbyville, Judith (husband, Glen) McDonald of San Bernadino, Cal., and Vickie (husband, Steve) Moore of Spiceland; a son, Danny (wife, Rowena) Gorman of New Castle; two brothers, Donald Keck of Markleville and James Keck of Anderson; and two sisters, Lois Jane Rogers of Knightstown and Sandra Sue Williams of Frankton.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Gorman; a daughter, Becky George; and two sisters, Wanda Lester and Bertha McGowen.
    Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday, July 18, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Rev. Mervin Kilmer officiating. Burial will follow in McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
