David Allen Percell

Jan. 9, 1940 – July 12, 2008

David Allen Percell, 68, of Arlington, died July 12 at his home.

He was born Jan. 9, 1940, in Rushville, a son of the late Payton and Ethel (Childers) Percell.

Mr. Percell lived in Arlington most of his life, having graduated from Rush County High School in 1958. He was a member of Hannegan Christian Church, the Rushville American Legion post and the Arlington Liars Corner. He was a retired truck driver. Mr. Percell was an avid racing fan.

Survivors include three daughters, Tina (husband, Bradd) Stamm of Carthage, Janet Rush of Indianapolis and Cindi Percell of Columbus; a brother, Danny (wife, Linda) Percell of Rushville; three sisters, Diann Clark of Fort Wayne, Doreen (husband, Ronnie) Jarman of New Salem and Debbie (husband, James) Evans of Rushville; and three grandchildren, Courtney Percell of Columbus, Erinn Stamm of Carthage and Kendall Stamm of Carthage.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Mann) Percell; and a brother.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday, July 18, at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Warren Engel officiating. Burial with full military graveside rites will follow at Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at the funeral home.
