 Ruby Maple

 Jan. 11, 1917 – June 18, 2008

Ruby Maple photo    Ruby (Hamm) Maple, 91, of Estes Park, Colo., died June 18 at Prospect Park Living Center in Estes Park.
   She was born Jan. 11, 1917, in Rushville, a daughter of the late Samuel and Laura (Stacey) Hamm.
    Mrs. Maple was a Knightstown High School graduate who married Thomas Maple on July 3, 1935, in Knightstown. The couple lived in Florida in 1960. She was a member of Knightstown Friends Church. She and her husband enjoyed golf and Mr. Maple owned a lumber company and was a building contractor in Florida. Mrs. Maple helped with decorating her husband’s projects. Mr. Maple preceded her in death in 1988. She moved to Good Samaritan, Estes Park Village, in June 2005.
    Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Maple of Estes Park; a brother, Phillip Hamm of Knightstown; a sister, Adrienne Jarrett of Kennard; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Rodney Maple and Virgil Maple; and a sister, Marie.
    Graveside services are Saturday, July 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown with Rev. Richard Thayer officiating. Friends and family are invited to attend.
