Marion E. Dudley
Dec. 5, 1915 – June 13, 2008
Marion E. Dudley, 91, of Kennard, died June 13 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
She was born Dec. 5, 1916, in Bartlesville, Okla., a son of the late Earl and Nora (McConnell) Mullin.
Mrs. Dudley retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1972 and served on the Kennard Town Council for 17 years. In addition, she served on the Knightstown Clinic and Henry County Historical Society boards. Mrs. Dudley was a member of the Kennard Historical Society, Order of the Eastern Star #492, AARP and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
Survivors include two sons, Lester L. “Bing” Dudley Jr., of Shirley and Larry M. “Mike” Dudley Sr., of Kennard; a daughter, Karen D. (Dudley) Martin of New Castle; eight grandchildren, Kim Blanch, Duke (wife, Staci) Dudley, Brenda Young, Ronald Stone, Amy Dudley, Larry Michael Dudley Jr., April Dudley and Bridgette Martin; an adopted grandson, Michael Leon Dudley; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Melvin (wife, Violet) Mullin of Marion; a niece, Michelle (husband, Jerry) Rodgers; and a nephew, Brent (wife, Regina) Mullin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester L. Dudley; two brothers, Bill Eker and Cordia Mullin; a niece, Jeanie Mullin; a great-granddaughter, Sadie Gideon; and two granddaughters, Danielle Martin and Jenny Dudley.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Marion McFarland officiating. Burial will follow at Harlen Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was June 17 at the funeral home. Shirley Order of the Eastarn Star #492 will conduct services. Memorial contributions may be made to Kennard Christian Church.
