 Johnny P. Brown

 May 13, 1939 – June 2, 2008

    Johnny P. Brown, 69, of Greenfield, died June 2 at Regency Place in Greenfield.
    He was born May 13, 1939, in New Market, Tenn., a son of the late Ida Bell Brown.
    Mr. Brown retired in 1998 from the Kroger Warehouse in Indianapolis after 30 years of service. He was a member of the teamsters union. Mr. Brown enjoyed baseball, fishing and NASCAR racing. He was a member of Faith Chapel Independent Baptist Church in Knightstown.
    Survivors include his wife, Mary K. (Reece) Brown of Greenfield; three sons, Fred (wife, Lisa) Heuer of New Castle and Johnny P. Brown, Jr. and Derek (wife, Karri) Brown, both of Greenfield; two daughters, Kathy Bowling of Chico, Cal., and Paulette (husband, Gordon) Patrick of Greenfield; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
    In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Brown; and an infant brother.
     Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday, June 6, at Faith Chapel Independent Baptist Church in Knightstown with Pastor Randy Gross officiating. Burial will follow at Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Chapel Independent Baptist Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
