Ralph Large

July 14, 1944 – May 25, 2008

Ralph Large, 63, of Knightstown, died May 25 at Heritage House Rehabilitation Center in New Castle.

He was born July 14, 1944, in New Castle, a son of the late Lee and Mary Large.

Mr. Large attended Spiceland High School and was employed at Tom Green Tires in Rushville for many years. He was known as an avid baseball fan who enjoyed spending time in Kentucky. Mr. Large also enjoyed singing.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Large of Knightstown; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Anna Jean (husband, Lee) Perry of Anderson and Judy (husband, Jerry) Moore of Cambridge City; two brothers, Bill (wife, Ingrid) Large of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Larry Large of Elwood; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Tina and Joe O’Neal of Mooreland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ilene Manlove.

Funeral services are at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Rev. Robert Schaeffer officiating. Following cremation, burial will take place at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation is Thursday, May 29, from 4 p.m. until time of services. Mmeorial contributions may be made to the Ralph Large Memorial Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
