Anna May Cronk
Aug. 30, 1923 – May 16, 2008
Anna May (Houk) Cronk of rural Kennard died May 16.
She was born in Greensboro Township on Aug. 30, 1923, a daughter of the late Obediah and Nell (Kuhn) Houk.
Mrs. Cronk graduated from Cadiz High School and Anderson Business College. She was known as a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Cronk owned Liquid Fertilizer, Inc., which was known as a great contributor to the Henry County farming community. She was active in 4-H, home extension clubs and March of Dimes. Mrs. Cronk was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha. Her hobbies included golf, sewing, crossword puzzles and watching sports.
Survivors include two daughters, Tina (husband, Larry) Fowler and Debra (husband, Billy) Ratliff; a son, Mark (wife, Nancy) Cronk; eight grandchildren, Kim (husband, David) Walls, Paul Fowler, Amy Thompson, Russ (wife, Rhonda) Cronk, Ryan (wife, Staci) Cronk, Kylene (husband, Chuck) Cheeseman, Natalie Cronk and Dustin Cronk; three stepgrandchildren, Brian (wife, Wendi) Ratliff, Bradley (wife, Angela) Ratliff and Brett Ratliff; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillian Bailey; a sister-in-law, Mary Losh; and a brother-in-law, Jack (wife, Barbara) Cronk.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell “Bucky” Cronk; and a sister, Ruth Erli.
Funeral services were May 21 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Pastor Junior Maloyed officiating. Burial followed in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was May 20 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army of New Castle, the American Diabetes Association or the March of Dimes.
