Francis Lucille Apple

Sept. 23, 1915 – May 8, 2008

Francis Lucille (Jones) Apple, 92, of Greenfield, died May 8 at Golden Years Brandywine Nursing Facilities in Greenfield.

She was born Sept. 23, 1915, in Missouri, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Reasner) Jones.

Mrs. Apple retired from Eastern Hancock High School where she was a cafeteria cook. She was a member of Charlottesville Methodist Church and was an avid reader and a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, Robert (wife, Jan) Apple of Markleville; a daughter, Dorothy (husband, Dave) of Greenfield; three grandchildren, Doug Williamson of Princeton, Diane Hiatt of Greenfield and Don Apple of Greenfield; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Apple; and two sisters, Mildred Powell and Dorothy Herrick.

Funeral services were May 13 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Burial followed in Asbury Cemetery in Morristown. Visitation was May 12 at the funeral home.
