Ruth Pauline Lowder

May 9, 1916 – April 11, 2008

Ruth Pauline Lowder, 91, of Knightstown died April 11 at Brandywine Health Care Center in Greenfield.

She was born May 9, 1916, in Montpelier, a daughter of the late Floyd C. and Verna (Weave) Hardy.

Mrs. Lowder was a member of Raysville Friends Church. She retired from the Indiana Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Children’s Home in Knightstown.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna (husband, Randall) Miller of Knightstown and Sallie Anthony of Rushville; a brother, Gene Hardy of Logansport; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Leonard Lowder; four brothers, Paul, Roby, Wayne and Kenneth Hardy; and a sister, Helen Fennell. Funeral services were April 15 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Rev. Bob McMillan officiating. Burial took place in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was April 15 at the funeral home.
