Eleanor M. Rumler

April 27, 1935 – April 11, 2008

Eleanor M. (Willis) Rumler, 72, of Shirley, died April 11 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.

She was born April 27, 1935, in Shirley, a daughter of the late Lester A. and Gladys V. (Thompson) Willis.

Ms. Rumler retired from Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis and was a member of U.A.W. Local #1111. She was also a member of Shirley Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly A. (husband, Terry) Owens of Noblesville; two sons, William “Bill” (wife, Tammy) Rumler Jr. of Shirley and Bart A. (wife, Amy) Rumler of Huntington; two sisters, Ruth E. Loar of Indianapolis and Laura E. Willis of Indianapolis; seven brothers, Joe Willis of Markleville, Roy Willis of Arizona, Jerry Willis of Huger Heights, Ohio, Denzil Willis of Wilkinson, David Willis of Peru and Jerome Willis of Greenfield; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Sam Willis.

Funeral services will take place at a later time. Arrangements are being handled by Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Memorial contributions may be made to Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice.
