Mary Winslow

Sept. 20, 1932 – Feb. 19, 2008

Mary Winslow, 75, of Hammond, died February 19.

She was born Sept. 20, 1932, a daughter of the late Henry and Debra White of Manilla.

Mrs. Winslow graduated from Ball State University in 1953. She married John S. Winslow of Carthage and the couple later moved to Hammong. Mrs. Winslow taught elementary school from 1963-1994. After her retirement, she enjoyed visiting her grandchildren in San Diego, Cal. She also enjoyed her grandsons’ annual summer trips to visit her.

Survivors include a son, Bentley Winslow of Munster; Bryan Winslow of San Diego, Cal.; three grandson, Lance Winslow, Mike Winslow and Ian Fernandez, all of San Diego; a brother, Lee White of Manilla; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Johnny; a brother, Tom White; and her husband, John Winslow.

Funeral services are Saturday, March 22, at 11 a.m. at Todd Funeral Home in Knightstown. Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at the funeral home.
