Donald L. Casey

Dec. 13, 1930 – March 12, 2008

Donald L. Casey, 77, of Shirley, died March 12 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born in Shirley on Dec. 13, 1939, a son of the late Bert and Ona (Thomas) Casey.

Mr. Casey was raised on a farm. He was a 1949 Kennard High School graduate, who served with the U.S. Marine Corps. in the Korean War. He retired from Delco-Remy in Anderson after 30 years of service. Mr. Casey was known as a proud man who lived life fully and on his own terms.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann (Davisson) Casey; two sons, Jeffrey Casey of Knightstown and Benjamin Casey of Shirley; a daughter, Ginger Jones of Dunreith; five granddaughters; and two great-grandchildren.

There will be no funeral services or visitation. Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Shirley is handling arrangements.
