James R. Graham
Dec. 17, 1935 – March 3, 2008
James R. Graham, 72, of Lewisville, died March 3 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis.
He was born Dec. 17, 1935, in Henry County, a son of the late Horace and Mae (Knotts) Graham.
Mr. Graham grew up in Lewisville and graduated from Lewisville High School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955-57. He lived in Indianapolis for many years, where he and his wife, Marlene, owned and operated Equalizeer, Inc., a tax consulting and accounting firm. He married the former Marlene May on Jan. 15, 1945 at Ebenezer Baptist Church near Lewisville. Mr. Graham was a member of the O.O.I.D.A.
Survivors include a son, Jeff Graham of Greenfield; a daughter, Terri Graham of Fishers; two grandchildren; and a sister, Delores Hansen of Bradenton, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Graham; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Guy LeRoy and Marcile O. (Buchannan) May.
Private funeral services were March 7 at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church near Lewisville with Rev. Marion L. Hickman officiating. Cremation followed at the Eastern Indiana Crematory in Lewisville. Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Lewisville handled arrangements.
