Janet Marie Bradway

April 8, 1950 – Jan. 4, 2008

Janet Marie Bradway, 57, of Greenfield, died January 4 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born April 8, 1950, in Waukegan, Ill., a daughter of the late Eugene and Mildred (Kitchen) Clemons.

Mrs. Bradway was a 1968 South Bend Riley High School graduate. She then attended Indiana State University. She married Jim Bradway on Feb. 21, 1970. Mrs. Bradway worked at Greenfield Middle School as a library assistant for many years and also worked at H&R Block. She served on the executive board of the Southern Baptist Convention of Indiana and also served as a Sunday school teacher and women’s group leader. In addition, she served as clerk and treasurer at Knightstown’s First Baptist Church and was a member of the Greenfield Chapter of Questors.

Survivors include her husband, Jim, of Greenfield; three children, Ken (wife, Marcy) Bradway of Wilkinson, Christy (husband, Shane) Borders of Dayton, Ohio, and Misty (husband, Mike) Hennie of Bloomfield; five grandchildren, Brooke Bradway, Kaz Borders and Gabe, Anna and Abby Hennie; and three sisters, Joyce Baxter of Titusville, Ga., Charlene Spritzer and Lori Clemons, both of San Diego, Cal.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services were January 8 at Calvary Baptist Church in Greenfield with Dr. Steve Davis officiating. Visitation was January 7 at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Additional visitation took place January 8 at the church. Memorial contributions may be made at www.caringbridge.com.
