Pat Souder

Dec. 27, 1914 – Dec. 24, 2007

Pat Souder, 94, of Greenfield, died December 24 at Ellison House in Greenfield.

She was born Dec. 27, 1914, in Greenfield, a daughter of the late Leonard and Myrtle (Scott) Reese.

A Greenfield High School graduate, Mrs. Souder was bookkeeper and secretary for Souder Farms and several other family business ventures. She was a member of Curry’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Greenfield and Eden Order of the Eastern Star and the Indiana Charolais Association.

Survivors include two daughters, Pattee Yater and Loretta Pope, both of Greenfield; two sisters, Ruth Williams of Frankfort and Marjorie Wille of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Souder; a grandson, Sam Yater; and two sisters, Esther Oakes and Frances Merchant.

Funeral services were December 28 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, in Greenfield. Burial followed at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation was December 27 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Curry’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 3488 N. 375 E., Greenfield, IN 46140, or the National Kidney Foundation, 911 E. 86th St., Ste. 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
