Sharon Anna Shively

July 30, 1938 – Dec. 7, 2006

Sharon Anna (Odgers) Sharrett Shively, 68, of New Castle, died December 7.

She was born July 30, 1938, in Hagerstown, a daughter of the late William Edward and Esther Virginia (Allen) Odgers.

Mrs. Shively was a school teacher for 35 years at Blue River Valley High School in Mt. Summit. She was a member of the Indiana Teachers Association, Business Professionals of America, Phi Delta Kappa, Delta Pi Epsilon and Delta Kappa Gamma.

Survivors include tow son, Scott Duane (wife, Kelly Wolfarth) Sharrett of Greenwood and Todd Carter (wife, Lisa Cunningham) Sharrett of Mt. Summit; three grandsons, Cory Todd, Daniel Duane and Travis Carter Sharrett; one aunt, Mary Emma Wright of Greensboro; two stepsons, Michael (wife, Anne) Shively of Utah and Thomas (wife, Connie) Alexander of Muncie; several stepgrandchildren; and a very close friend, Marilyn Oury.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Earl “Bud” Shively; a sister, Jane Elizabeth Metz; and her grandmother, Anna Kelly Odgers.

Funeral services were December 11 at Mt. Summit Christian Church with Rev. Mark O’Brian officiating. Burial followed at Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland. Visitation was December 10 at Main & Davis Funeral Home, Astor Main Blue River Chapel.
