Osmyn “Roy” Lee

May 30, 1923 – Dec. 8, 2006

Osmyn “Roy” Lee, 83, of Knightstown, died Friday, December 8, at Regency Place in Greenfield.

He was born May 30, 1923, in Terre Haute, a son of the late John S. and Martha (Malone) Lee.

Mr. Lee was a World War II veteran, having served in the 97th Division of the U.S. Army. He retired in 1988 after 13 years as a car salesman at Ed Martin in Anderson. Mr. Lee was a member of South Memorial Drive Church of God in New Castle.

Survivors include his wife, Daisy Myrtle (Steele) Lee of Knightstown; a son, Timothy Osmyn (wife, Carol) Lee of Rushville; a daughter, Marcia (husband, Paul) Lund of Grand Forks, N.D.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a great-grandfather, Lauren Bauer; seven brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services were December 13 at South Memorial Drive Church of God in New Castle with Rev. Mark Martin and Rev. Paul Lund officiating. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown with full military graveside rites. Visitation was December 12 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson.
