Annella T. Solomon

Feb. 21, 1934 – Dec. 7, 2006

Annella T. “Ann” Solomon, 72, of Indianapolis, died December 7 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born Feb. 21, 1934, in Henry County, a daughter of the late Urban and Margaret (Madison) Snodgress.

Mrs. Solomon was a 1951 New Castle Chrysler High School graduate. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University’s Herron School of Art. Mrs. Solomon’s paintings are displayed in various city buildings in Indianapolis and New Castle, including the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. She was invited to present exclusive art shows in New Castle and Indianapolis and was a winner at numerous art expos. She also entered her work in portrait photography contests.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, David Solomon of Indianapolis; a son, Mark Solomon of Avon Lake, Ohio; a daughter, Kay (husband, Doug) Kelly of Salt Lake City, Utah; three grandchildren, Rachel Solomon, Alanya Solomon and Sasha Solomon; a sister, Jean Shultz of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and James Snodgress; and a sister, LaVaughn Bailey.

Funeral services were December 12 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemtery in Knightstown. Visitation was December 11 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 115 W. Washington St., Suite 1180 S, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
