Tommy W. Richmond

Oct. 10, 1940 – Nov. 25, 2006

Tommy W. Richmond, 66, of Greenfield, a former Knightstown resident, died November 25 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis.

He was born Oct. 10, 1940, in Greenfield, a son of the Thomas W. Richmond and the late Ruth I. (Robins) Richmond.

Mr. Richmond was a construction worker for many years in Indiana and Florida. He was a member of the Greenfield Conservation Club and the F.O.P. He served in the U.S. Marines for four years. On April 7, 1990, he married Yvonne Klessmer.

Survivors include his father, Thomas W. Richmond of Danville; his wife, Yvonne Richmond of Greenfield; a son, Derek Richmond of California; three daughters, Carrie Mullis of California, Carla (husband, Eric) Carver and Christine Davis, both of Greenfield; a stepson, Stephen Steinberg of Nevada; two stepdaughters, Sherri (husband, Frank) Morrill of Nevada and Shelly McDivitt of Texas; a brother, Benny Richmond of Florida; three sisters, Maryellen Richmond and Beverly Richmond, both of Indianapolis, and Arlene Richmond of Heritage Lake; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three stepgranchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Funeral services were November 29 at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Burial followed in Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Military graveside rites were performed by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation was November 28 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to help defray funeral expenses may be made to Erlewein Mortuary, 1484 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.
