Louise Fritz

Sept. 14, 1929 – Oct. 20, 2006

Louise (Basham) Fritz, 77, of Shirley, died October 20 at her home.

She was born Sept. 14, 1929, in Hancock County, Ky., a daughter of the late Ray V. and Katherine (Rowland) Basham.

Mrs. Fritz was involved in 4-H, helped with the family farm, cared for livestock and was a homemaker. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed traveling, quilting and babysitting her grandchildren. Mrs. Fritz attended Shirley Friends Church and the Raleigh Dance Club.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Chester Fritz of Shirley; a daughter, Linda (husband, David) Ryker of Carmel; a son, Edward L. Fritz of Shelbyville; three grandchildren; two sisters, Brownie Cooper of Hawesville, Ky., and Joan Brandle of Tell City; three brothers, Robert Basham of Providence, Ky., Alvin Basham of Evansville and Paul Basham of Hawesville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and William Basham.

Funeral services were October 24 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Rev. Jim Jackson officiating. Burial followed at Forrest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. Visitation was October 23 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 426 Hamilton St., Fortville, IN 46040.
