Maurice B. Imler

June 6, 1919 – Oct. 14, 2006

Maurice B. Imler, 87, died October 14 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus in Anderson.

He was born June 6, 1919, in Arcadia, a son of the late Earl and Marie (Bradford) Imler.

Mr. Imler retired from Guide Lamp in Anderson after 38 years of service.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jeanette (Kern) Imler of Maryville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Jeff Wilson of Sulphur Springs, Julie Groce of Sevierville, Tenn., Joni McCutcheon of Cadiz and Jamie Wilson of Cadiz; seven great-grandchildren; a great-grandson; two sisters, Ruth Vayhinger of Colorado and Marty (husband, Lew) Mohler of Phoenix, Ariz.; four brothers, Dick (wife, Mary Ann) Imler of Anderson, Bill (wife, Donna Lou) Imler of Lake Gage, Bob Imler of Texas and Don (wife, Sandy) Imler of Houston, Tx.; a son-in-law, Ray Wilson of Cadiz; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn D. Wilson; a brother-in-law, John Vayhinger; and a sister-in-law, Bess Imler.

Funeral services are Thursday, Oct. 19, at Mechanicsburg Cemetery with Bill Imler officiating. There is no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
