Joe L. Kline

July 31, 1932 – Oct. 15, 2006

Joe L. Kline, 74, of Georgetown, Ky., died October 15 at his home.

He was born July 31, 1932, in Vanceburg, Ky., a son of the late George and Emma (Mawk) Kline.

Mr. Kline was an avid sports enthusiast and a dedicated Indiana University fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was known as a kind, loving, generous and non-judgmental man.

Survivors include two sons, Rick (wife, Sandy) Kline of Indianapolis and Oscar (wife, Jeannie) Kline of Knightstown; one daughter, Brenda (husband, Scott) Dudley of Georgetown, Ky.; a brother, Elmer (wife, Mildred) Kline of Carthage; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine (Roseberry) Kline; a daughter, Janette Kline; a grandson, Michael Kline; four brothers, Ollie Kline, Fred Kline, Carl Kline and Raymond Kline; and two sisters, Jessie Davis and Madalyn Brown.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 21, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel, with Gary McQuain officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, October 20, at the funeral home.
