William J. Kerr

June 14, 1985 – Sept. 26, 2006

William J. “Will” Kerr, Jr., 21, of the Knightstown area, died September 26.

He was born June 14, 1985, in Tampa, Fla., a son of William J. Kerr Sr. and Martha (Kerr) Bell.

Mr. Kerr attended Knightstown High School and was known as the “life of every party.” He was loved by many friends and family.

Survivors include his father, William (wife, Norma) Kerr Sr. of Shirley; his mother, Martha (husband, Scott) Bell of Manilla; four sisters, Jennifer (husband, Wayne) Sosh of Hudson, Ky., Jamie (fiance, Kris Bailey) Kerr of Anderson, Billie Jo (husband, Todd) Needham of Shelbyville and Samantha Jo Kerr of Manilla; a brother, Scottie Kerr of Waldron; a stepsister, Laci Cheek of Shirley; his girlfriend and mother of his unborn child, Christina Cunningham of Michigan; grandparents, Bill and Mickie Kerr of New Salem and Mary Lou “Grammy” Riddle of Tompkinsville, Ky.; three nieces; two nephews; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Manuel Aguilar and Richard Wells.

Funeral services were October 1 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel, with Pastors Mark Wright and Ron Baker officiating. Visitation was September 30 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the William J. Kerr Jr. Memorial Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
