Ruby Weber Baer

Aug. 29, 1913 – Oct. 1, 2006

Ruby (Divelbiss) Weber Baer, 93, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Indianapolis, died October 1 in Phoenix.

She was born Aug. 29, 1913, in Rushville, a daughter of the late Leeroy and Effie (Rhodes) Divelbiss.

Mrs. Baer retired from Western Electric and was a member of the Telephone Pioneer Club.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Lynne Taylor of Birmingham, Ala.; three stepgrandchildren; and life-long friends, Christine Rogers of Indianapolis and Barbara Ellis of Montgomery, Tx.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Baer, in November 2005; two brothers, Bernard and Gilbert Divelbiss; and a sister, Myrtle Apple.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday, October 6, at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation is noon-2 p.m. Friday at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9135 N. Meridian St., Ste. B-4, Indianapolis, IN 46209-7109.
