Earle W. Oldham

March 2, 1929 – Sept. 28, 2006

Earle W. Oldham, 77, of Knightstown, died September 28 at his home.

He was born March 2, 1929, in Rush County, a son of the late Hershel and Nellie (Hiner) Oldham.

Mr. Oldham was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a 1948 Mays High School graduate who later served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On Feb. 17, 1953, he married Peggy Cranford and she survives. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and Knightstown American Legion Post 152.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy of Knightstown; a son, Robert Earle (wife, Carol) Oldham of Knightstown; two daughters, Tina (wife, Steve) Adams and Ouida Lavone Ray, both of Knightstown; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral services were October 2 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Rev. Joe Rautemberg officiating. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was October 1 at Todd Funeral Home in Knightstown.
