Lucile Rigney

April 11, 1913 – Sept. 19, 2006

Lucile Rigney, 93, of Greenfield, a former Wilkinson resident, died September 19 at Regency Place Healthcare in Greenfield.

She was born April 11, 1913, in Hancock County, a daughter of the late Coit and Laura (Casey) Elliott.

Mrs. Rigney retired from Western Electric in 1978. She attended Shirley-Wilkinson Community United Methodist Church. She was a member of Shirley Order of the Eastern Star #492 and the Lilac Literary Club in Wilkinson.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara J. Sitton of Wilkinson; a son, Donald E. Rigney of Greenfield; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a niece, Patricia McCracken of Knightstown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Woodrow Rigney, in 1969; and a sister, Clara Elliott, in 1952.

Funeral services were September 22 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Jeff Mair officiating. Burial followed in McCray Cemetery. Visitation was September 21 at the funeral home.
