Marcy Rebecca Altman

Nov. 21, 1956 – Aug. 30, 2006

Marcy Rebecca Altman, 49, of Knightstown, died August 30 in her home.

She was born Nov. 21, 1956, in Anderson, a daughter of the late William Oscar and Elda Laura Terry.

A 1974 Knightstown High School graduate, Mrs. Altman was a member of Community Baptist Church of Raysville. She loved animals, cooking and she also enjoyed helping those in need.

Survivors include her husband, Fred Altman of Knightstown; two sons, Jeremy and John Gulley, both of Knightstown; two brothers, Matt (wife, Mary) Tipton of Knightstown and Melvin Tipton of Anderson; two nephews, Jeb Tipton of Knightstown and John Tipton of Anderson; a niece, Bonnie Tipton of Anderson; and close friends, Kat and George Schane of New Castle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a former husband, Harold Gulley.

Funeral  services were September 3 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel, with Rev. Gene Bennett officiating. Visitation was prior to services on September 3 at the funeral home. Cremation followed. Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster Community Center in New Castle with envelopes available at the funeral home.
