Sharlee I. Kyser

Dec. 18, 1914 – Aug. 16, 2006

Sharlee I. Kyser, 91, of Rushville, died August 16 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rushville.

She was born Dec. 18, 1914, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Michael and Gouldie (Hiatt) Kyser.

Miss Kyser spent much of her early life in Carthage. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1930 and later attended Ball State University for two years. She was a member of Carthage Friends Church and the Major Hugh Dinwiddie Chapter DAR in Knightstown. In 1980, Miss Kyser retired as assitance vice president of Rush County National Bank after 38 years.

Survivors include five cousins, Robin Jones of Connersville, Charles S. (wife, Mary) Winscott of Gallatin, Tenn., William D. (wife, Carol) Winscott of Santa Fe, N.M., Dr. John E. Carr of Seattle, Wash., and Robin Ann Baugh of New Castle.

Funeral services were held at Riverside Cemetery in Rushville on August 21 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Edwards officiating. Burial followed at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation took place there also. Memorial contributions may be made to Carthage Friends Church.
