Mary Masters
Sept. 30, 1924 – Aug. 17, 2006
Mary Masters, 81, of Kennard, died August 17 at Ellison House in Greenfield.
She was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Rising Sun, a daughter of the late Joseph M. and Oma M. (O’Neal) Richardson.
Mrs. Masters was a 1942 Rising Sun High School graduate. She retired from Delco Remy in Anderson and loved cooking, crocheting and sewing.
Survivors include a son, John (wife, Diana) Masters of Shirley; a granddaughter, Heather Berkshire of Royal Center; a grandson, Jason Masters of New Castle; a great-granddaughter, Haley Masters of Royal Center; two brothers, Dee Richardson of Knightstown and John White of Peoria, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Masters, in 1990; a grandson, Chad Alan Masters; a brother, Joe Richardson; and a sister, Iva Glass.
Funeral services were August 21 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Pastor Richard Thayer of Knightstown Christian Church officiating. Burial followed at McCray Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was Sunday, Aug. 20, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice Care.
