Marie Peters

Feb. 23, 1930 – July 19, 2006

Marie Peters, 76, of Knightstown, died July 19 at Regency Place in Greenfield.

She was born Feb. 23, 1930, in Pleasant Plaines, Ill., a daughter of the late William and Opal (Kinnaman) Clark.

Mrs. Peters had been employed at Mayhill Publications. She retired from there after 25 years of service. She was a member of Raysville Friends Church and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, George Peters of Knightstown; two sons, Gary Peters of Indianapolis and John (wife, Christine) Peters of Knightstown; two grandchildren, Hannah and Cheyenne Peters of Knightstown; a brother, Denny (wife, Jerri) Clark of Knightstown; two sisters, Melvada (husband, Richard) Peters of Knightstown and Wanda Clark of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Alvah Clark; and one sister, Julia Nichols.

Funeral services were July 22 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was July 21 at the funeral home.
