Marie G. Tribby
July 20, 1913 – June 29, 2006
Marie G. Tribby, 92, a lifelong Carthage resident, died June 29 at her home.
She was born July 20, 1913, in Carthage, the daughter of the late Oscar and (Celia) Andis Alexander. She graduated from Carthage High School and was owner and operator of Marie’s Variety Store in Carthage for over 53 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Patty Tribby of Carthage; and a few cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a half-brother, Frank Alexander.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, at Todd Funeral Home, Carthage Chapel. Burial will follow in Arlington East Hill Cemetery in Arlington. Visitation was 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4.
