Jackie Lee Stone

Aug. 24, 1943 – June 20, 2006

  Jackie Lee Stone, 62, of Hudson, Fla., died June 20.

He was born in New Castle on Aug. 24, 1943, the son of Carl and Hazel (Zachary) Stone.

Mr. Stone lived most of his life in Henry County. He served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1963.

Survivors include a son, Kevin (wife,Rhonda) Stone of Hagerstown; two daughters, Jackie (husband, Mike) Reed of Cambridge City and Brittany Young of Knightstown; two grandchildren, Megan Nunley and Jackson Reed; a sister, Barbara (husband, Gene)  Rivers of Dunreith; three brothers, Carl Stone, Jr., of Cartersville, Ga., Ronnie Stone of Bainbridge, Ga., and Dean Stone of Marietta, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, July Polston and Connie Meece.

Funeral services were at 3:30 p.m. July 1 at Culberson Funeral Home in Hagerstown with Pastor Bill Roberts officiating. Visitation was July 1 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
