Dennis K. Gross

Dec. 21, 1945 – June 13, 2006

Dennis K. Gross, 60, of Kennard, died Tuesday, June 13, at Henry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 21, 1945, in Elkhart, a son of the late Emory and Viola (Eby) Gross.

Mr. Gross was a devoted railroad employee, who retired after 36 years of service. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and a horse racing fan who enjoyed visiting Hoosier Park in Anderson. Mr. Gross enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Patti (Abel) Gross of Kennard, whom he married on Aug. 17, 1965; two children, Parrish (wife, Lori) Gross of Franklin and Natalie Gross of Indianapolis; a granddaughter, Peyton Gross of Franklin; three brothers, Steve (wife, Rose Marie) Gross of Washington, Rodney (wife, Anna) Gross and Mitch Gross, both of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and many close friends.

Funeral services were Friday, June 16, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel, with Debbie Beason officiating. Visitation was Friday, June 16, at the funeral home. Services were Monday, June 19, at Vistula Christian Church. Visitation at the church was Monday, June 19. Burial followed at Vistula Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Henry County Humane Society or the Knightstown Cheer Guild with envelopes available at the funeral home.
