William A. Smalley

June 17, 1940 – June 10, 2006

William A. “Bill” Smalley, 65, of Knightstown, died Saturday, June 10, at his home.

He was born June 17, 1940, a son of the late Woodrow W. and Celia A. (Whisman) Smalley.

Mr. Smalley was a truck driver for 28 years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include six daughters, Teresa L. Smith of Knightstown, Lisa K. Sullivan of Arlington, Patricia Marrs of Knightstown, Billie Jo Schombert of Knightstown, Trina L. Smalley of Knightstown and Tawaina J. Smalley of Knightstown; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Lola Wolski of Shirley, Jean Fairchild of Spiceland and Jane Fort of Rosswell, Ga.; two brothers, Lemuel Smalley of Fayetteville, N.C. and Tracy Smalley of Shirley; and a former wife, Margaret L. Smalley of Knightstown.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Debra L. and Carla Sue Smalley.

Funeral services were Wednesday, June 14, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Burial followed in McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was Tuesday, June 13, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bill Smalley Memorial Fund, in care of Condo & Son Funeral Home, P.O. Box 128, Wilkinson, IN 46186.
