James M. Brown

April 26, 1937 – June 11, 2006

James M. Brown, 69, of Ogden, died Sunday, June 11, at his home.

He was born April 26, 1937, in Albany, Ky., a son of the late Hobert and Leona (Moles) Brown.

Mr. Brown lived most of his life in New Castle and Knightstown. He retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1991 after working at Chrysler plants in New Castle and Dayton, Ohio.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca, who he married on Sept. 9, 198; a daughter, Dawn (husband, Ted) Sherry; a son, James D. (wife, Vanessa) Brown of New Castle; three stepsons, Charles and Russell Anderson of Knightstown and Curtis Hormel of New Castle; an aunt, Cinda Stockton of New Castle; an uncle, Leo (wife, Marie) Moles of New Castle; a brother-in-law, Ronnie Peacock; and several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a his parents; a sister, Geraldine Peacock; and his first wife, Violet, who died in 1977.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Gene Bennett officiating. Burial followed in South Mound Cemetery in New Castle. Visitation was June 13 at the funeral home.
