Francie Jasper

Jan. 6, 1950 – Jan. 31, 2006

Francie Jasper, 56, of New Castle, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born Jan. 6, 1950, a daughter of Eldon T. and the late Patricia (Jordan) Ray.

She attended Grand Avenue Baptist Church and was employed in the housekeeping department at Henry County Memorial Hospital in New Castle.

Survivors include her father; six siblings, Penny Jones of Carthage, Nancy (husband, Bill) Vickery of New Castle, Sherry (husband, Roger) Jones of Shirley, Letha Ray (companion, John Abrell) of Carthage, Bud (wife, Mary) Ray of New Castle and Vanessa (husband, Ronnie) Peavie of Kokomo; a foster sister, Dorothy (husband, Harold) Rothrock of New Castle; a half-brother, Chuck Ray of Missouri; special friends Jim Lucas of Waynesville, Ohio, Susan Goudy and Debbie Riggs; a special uncle, Jimmy Jordon of Carthage; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, David C. Jasper, who was killed during the Vietnam War; special aunt and uncle, Chester and Hannah Estell; and a special friend, Martha Bowers.

Funeral services were February 3 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Charles Dugger officiating. Burial followed in South Mound Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday, Feb. 2, at the funeral home.
