Cody Michael Bonewits

Dec. 21, 2004 – April 28, 2006

Cody Michael Bonewits, 16 months, died Friday, April 28.

He was born Dec. 21, 2004, in New Castle, the son of Robert Adam Bonewits and Veronica Johnson.

Cody enjoyed playing ball and being with people.

Survivors include his parents; maternal grandfather, Ron Johnson of South Bend; maternal grandmother, Vicki (husband, Rick) Houser of New Castle; patenral grandparents, Robert A. and Jane Bonewits of Knightstown; paternal great grandparents, Oran and Virginia Pack of Indianapolis; maternal great grandmother, Flora Johnson of Greenfield; maternal great grandfather, Jack Janney of Muncie; maternal great grandmother, Betty Janney of Gaston; several aunts and uncles, including Melissa Bonewits, Jeremy Bonewits, Reggise (wife, Jenny) Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Dustin Johnson, Shelby Johnson, Michael (wife, Julia) Houser, Kevin Houser and David Houser; several great aunts, great uncles and cousins.

Funeral service are at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Danny Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery west of New Castle. Visitation was from 12-2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cody Bonewits Memorial Fund, care of Citizens State Bank, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
