Patricia Ann Mayes
Jan. 29, 1943 – April 21, 2006
Patricia Ann Mayes, 63, of New Castle, died Friday, April 21, at Henry County Memorial Hospital in New Castle.
She was born Jan. 29, 1943, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Harold and Blanche (Godfrey) Zirkle.
Mrs. Mayes was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bingo. Her CB radio handle was Momma HoHo and she liked traveling the road with her husband, the late Paul Mayes. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include five daughters, Jeannie (husband, Phil) Hiatt of Elkhart, Paula McGuire of New Castle, Kimberly Mayes of Anderson, Hope Mayes of Anderson, and Kelly (husband, James) Lasswell, also of Anderson; a son, Timothy Mayes of Michigan City; a sister, Martha (husband, Joe) Raley of Toccoa, Ga.; a brother-in-law, Joe Kerr of Anderson; a sister-in-law, Marie Zirkle of Anderson; her beloved pets, Butch and Sam; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Keith Mayes on January 2; a brother, Sonny Zirkle; a sister, Betty Kerr; a great-granddaughter, Patricia Partlen; and a beloved pet, Mutley.
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 25, at Main & Frame Funeral Home, Broad Street Chapel, in New Castle with Pastor Bobby Slagle officiating. Visitation was April 25 at the funeral home.
