Helen M. Cook
January 16, 1918 – April 20, 2006
Helen M. Cook, 88, of Anderson, a former Wilkinson resident, died Thursday, April 20, in Greenfield.
She was born Jan. 16, 1918, in Warrington, a daughter of the late Scott and Hazel (Albea) Copeland.
Mrs. Cook a lifelong homemaker and a 1936 graduate of Wilkinson High School. She was a member of First Nazarene Church in New Castle since 1958. She married Sam Cook in 1937.
Survivors include a son, Gordon (wife, Cheryl) Cook of Wilkinson; a granddaughter, Lisa (husband, Ronald) Peckham of Greenfield; a grandson, Greg (wife, Samantha) Cook of Terre Haute; three great grandchildren; special friends, Roger and Joann O’Neal of Wilkinson, Gene “Tink” and Elaine O’Neal of Wilkinson, Richard and Cheryl Prehara of Pendleton, Terry and Sally Molden of Shirley, Mike and Doris Wise of New Castle, Mike and Priscilla Lacey of Anderson and Frank and Nancy Steele of Greenfield.
She was preceded in death by her hsuband, Sam Cook, in 1998.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Burial followed in McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was 4-8 p.m. on Monday, April 24, at the funeral home.
