Roger Eugene Kurz
May 5, 1963 – March 27, 2006
Roger Eugene Kurz, 42, of Indianapolis, died on March 27 in Indianapolis.
He was born May 5, 1963, in Indianapolis.
Mr. Kurz began working at Chanteclair Restaurant in Indianapolis at age 15. He went on to become one of that establishment’s top waiters. Recently, he managed a McDonald’s Restaurant in Indianapolis. He was a Ben Davis High School graduate who was a member of the Ben Davis H.S. Marching Band that performed in the Rose Bowl parade in California.
Survivors include his son, Nicholas E. Kurz of Indianapolis; his mother and step-father, Kathryn M. and James F. Faut of Knightstown; two brothers, David A. Kurz of Greenwood and Jon R. (wife, Mayumi) Kurz of Kailua, Ha.; a sister, Kelly S. (husband, Landon) Dean of Knightstown; twin grandsons, Zachary Lee and Hunter Eugene Kurz; four nieces, Sasha and Alysha Kurz and Ashley and Brittney Dean; and a nephew, Cameron Dean.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, John W. Aikman, III; a grandfather, Eugene F. Anderson; and a grandmother, Annette E. Anderson.
Funeral services were April 7 at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield with Pastor Jack Holliday officiating. Burial took place at Orchard Hill Cemetery in Wanamaker. Visitation was April 6 at the funeral home.
