Catherine Holliday

July 5, 1927 – March 25, 2006

Catherine Holliday, 79, of Las Cruces, N.M., and formerly of Knightstown, died March 25.

She was born July 5, 1927, in Knightstown, a daughter of the late William and Mary Linch.

Mrs. Holliday moved to New Mexico in 1968. Known to her friends as Kate, she worked in the judicial system for many years, retiring in 1989.

Survivors include her son, Ted (wife, Mary); a granddaughter, Heather Thomas and her husband, Ted; two daughters, Chelsie and Rylie; a brother, Judgement (wife, Betty) Linch, of Knightstown; a niece; a nephew; and grandchildren and step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vernis; and two sons, Barry and Bruce.

Funeral services were handled by Getz Funeral Home in Las Cruces, N.M. Following cremation, a celebration of her life was held at an Elks Lodge in Las Cruces. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knightstown High School Alumni Association, P.O. Box 121, Knightstown, IN 46148.
