Edna M. Dyer

Feb. 25, 1921 – March 30, 2006

Edna M. Dyer, 85, of New Castle, died Thursday, March 30, at Henry County Memorial Hospital in New Castle.

She was born Feb. 25, 1921, a daughter of the late Jesse and Grace Egan.

Mrs. Dyer retired from Western Electric in Indianapolis. She had attended Knightstown Church of God, was a wonderful cook and loved to sew.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Clifford E. Dyer of New Castle; two brothers, Elmer Egan of Eaton and Leo Egan of Grant City; a sister, Vesta Hunt of Ocala, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur Egan, Ora Egan, Clyde and Herb Egan; and three sisters, Betty Lou Garrison, Faye Lewis and Thelma Neal.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel, with Pastor Randy Gross officiating. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at the funeral home.
