Ronnie R. Cameron

Feb. 10, 1949 – March 24, 2006

Ronnie R. Cameron, 57, of Rushville, died Friday, March 24, at his home.

He was born Feb. 10, 1949, in Rushville, the son of the late George D. and Amelia (Mohler) Cameron.

Mr. Cameron lived all his life in Rush County, having graduated from Rushville High School in 1967. He was employed at Philco-Ford in Connersville in late 1960’s and 1970’s. He was a house parent at the Indiana Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Children’s Home in Knightstown for 24 years. An active vendor at Riley Days in Greenfield, he sold crafts and “Ron’s Fudge.” Mr. Cameron was a member of Ben Davis Creek Christian Church where he was a vocal soloist.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Amelia and John Burgdoerfer of Gings; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Maudia Kay Cameron; and a step-brother, Darrell Burgdoerfer.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 27, at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville with Howard Bullard officiating. Burial followed in Orange North Cemetery in Fayette County. Visitation was 2-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ben Davis Creek Christian Church.
