Paul J. Graham

Aug. 29, 1920 – March 27, 2006

Paul J. Graham, 85, of Straughn, died Monday, March 27, at his  home.

He was born Aug. 29, 1920, in New Castle, a son of the late Horace and Gladys Graham.

Mr. Graham was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He served in the Pacific Theater, specifically in the southern Phillipine islands. Mr. Graham earned a variety of awards and honors in the military, including the American Theater Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with one bronze star, the Good Conduct Ribbon, the Phillipine Liberation Ribbon with one bronze star and the Victory Medal. After the war, he was a farmer and also drove a New Castle school bus for over 10 years. He was a Past Master and member of Masonic Lodge #72 F&AM.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Eileen (Beam) Graham; a daughter, Judith (husband, Tom) Fincher of Ramona, Cal.; two sons, David (wife, Cathy) Graham of Greenville, N.C., and Larry (wife, Carol) Graham of Cache, Okla.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Lewisville Chapel, with Rev. Marion Hickman officiating. Burial will follow in Lewisville Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, at the funeral home. A Masonic service will take place at 7:30 p.m.
