David L. Craig

ept. 30, 1941 – Feb. 20, 2006

David L. Craig, 64, of Knightstown, died Monday, Feb. 20, at his home.

He was born Sept. 30, 1941, in Terre Haute, a son of the late James W. and Doyne Evinger Stevens.

Mr. Craig retired from Delphi of General Motors Corporation in 2004 after 39 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local 662. Mr. Craig was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Barbara Craig of Knightstown; four step-children, Robert S. (wife, Sandra) Jackson of Carthage, Debra Jackson of Indianapolis, Treesa (husband, Keith) Jarvis of Knightstown, and James (wife, Sherri) Jackson of New Castle; seven grandchildren, Angel (husband, Bryce) Graddy of Middletown, Steven (wife, Amy) Jackson of Knightstown, Misty Strother (fiance, Alan Jarvis) of Springport, Amber Jarvis of Knightstown, Jacob Jackson of Carthage, David Jackson of Carthage and Caleb Jackson of New Castle; and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James A. Craig.

Private funeral services will take place at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel, with Rev. Jeff Hinshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
