Robert M. Parker

Nov. 3, 1921 – Jan. 31, 2006

Robert M. “Bud” Parker, 84, of Banning, Cal., died Jan. 31.

He was born Nov. 3, 1921, in Knightstown, a son of the late Robert M. and Nell Parker.

Mr. Banning was a resident of North Hollywood, Cal., for 43 years prior to moving to Banning 16 years ago. During World War II, he served in the Pacific where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He later worked at Los Angeles County Medical Center for 28 years. He retired in 1989.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Parker; a daughter, Janet C. Parker of Burbank, Cal.; a son, Robert M. Parker III of La Mesa, Cal.; a sister, Sally Brown of Knightstown; two grandchildren, Sean and Brian; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends gathered for private funeral services following private cremation at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, Cal. Memorial contributions may be made to San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital Foundation, 600 N. Highland Springs Ave., Banning, CA 92220. Funeral arrangements were handled by Weaver Mortuary in Beaumont, Cal.
