Hazel A. Clark
May 30, 1928 – Feb. 4, 2006
azel A. Clark, 77, of Mays, died Saturday, Feb. 4, at Rush Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born May 30, 1928 in Rushville, a daughter of the late Russell and Alma (Jessup) Dearinger.
Mrs. Clark was a 1947 Rushville High School graduate. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Marstha Poe Chapter. A homemaker, she also worked as a nursing assistant for many years. She was a member of Main Street Christian Church in Rushville. On Oct. 30, 1953, she married Andrew Ross Clark, who preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 1986.
Survivors include a son, Billy R. (wife, Lisa) Clark of Rushville; three daughters, Barbara A. Clark of Mays, Kathy (husband, Bill) Schumaker of Greenwood and Penny Kay (husband, Jack) Grizzell of Carthage; a sister, Evelyn Safewright of Stuart, Fla.; a brother, Wayne (wife, Hildred) Dearinger of Rushville; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with Revs. Hank and Deann Anderson officiating. Burial followed in Rush County’s Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation was 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Main Street Christian Church.
