Lillian C. Danner

Sept. 3, 1917 – Feb. 6, 2006

Lillian C. Danner, 88, of Indianapolis, a former Knightstown resident, died Monday, Feb. 6.

She was born Sept. 3, 1917, in Cadiz, a daughter of the late John Paul and Hattie Lucille (Fleming) Cooper.

Mrs. Danner graduated from Knightstown High School in 1935. She married Goodwin G. Danner on April 14, 1940, and he preceded her in death on May 11, 1975. Mrs. Danner was a member of Irvington United Methodist Church since 1940. She was also a 34-year member of Community Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann (husband, Wallace) Williams and Christine McGee; five grandchildren, Lauri (husband, Charles) McNally, Michael (wife, Colleen) Williams, James (wife, Jennifer) Williams, Heather (husband, Keith) Lash, and Scott (wife, Kelly) McGee; 12 great-grandchildren, Shane, Katelyn, Sean and Kyla McNally, Myia, Cameron, Taylor and Joshua Williams, Jami Marsh, Lexis and Lauren McGee, and Riley Nash; and a sister, Betty Kopp.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
